About
We build tracking for teams that work far from the network, where knowing that your people are safe and on the move matters more than anything else.
The question
tracr.space started with a simple one: how do you keep track of someone across a hundred kilometres of country with no phone signal? The answer was to go through space.
Who it is for
Teams that work far from the network, such as aid and humanitarian organisations, and anyone who looks after people or vehicles on the move.
How we work
We are independent and in active development, and we build in the open with early partners.
What we believe
- Your people come first: knowing they are safe matters more than any feature.
- Your data stays yours: the information belongs to your organisation.
- Simple by design: a clear map and plain words, with nothing to install.
The name
tracr.space
The name is “tracker” with the vowels dropped, the way Flickr and Tumblr did it. The two blue letters are the two ideas behind it: t for tracker, and s for space.
The .space ending fits twice over: the satellites overhead, and the ground you are trying to keep track of someone across.
